Glenmary to Celebrate Oath Masses for Five Men

Posted: 5/4/2011

Taking Glenmary OathOn three landmark days at the end of May, Glenmary will be celebrating three Oath Masses for five of its men in formation. By professing the Glenmary Oath, a man commits himself to the practice of poverty, chastity, obedience and prayer—as well as to his fellow missioners and to the proclamation of the Gospel in rural areas of the United States.

On May 26, Brother Levis Kuwa, a brother in training, will renew his Oath for the first time.

On May 27, seminarian Clive Otieno will profess his First Oath.

And on May 28, the climax of the weekend, seminarians Crispine Adongo and Aaron Wessman and Brother Craig Digmann will take their Final Oaths, the final stage of their Glenmary commitment on the journey to Glenmary priesthood and brotherhood. Father Dan Dorsey, Glenmary president, calls this Final Oath ceremony "the highlight of my tenure."

These five individuals are part of a group of 17 men who are currently in formation with Glenmary.
