First Oath Mass 2008

On May 24, 2008, the Glenmary community of priests, brothers, coworkers and supporters gathered in Cincinnati to celebrate as Aaron Wessman, Craig Digmann and Crispine Adongo made their First Oath and became temporarily professed members of Glenmary Home Missioners. Aaron and Crispine are pursuing missionary priesthood and Craig is pursuing brotherhood.

Father Dan Dorsey, president of Glenmary, presided at the Mass. He joked in his opening comments that the three men dressed alike because they found cheap shirts and ties and being thrifty Glenmarians, couldn't pass up the deal!

Each man, in taking his Glenmary Oath, committed himself to the practice of poverty, chastity, obedience and prayer. With their First Oath, each man begins a three-year period of temporary profession which will culminate with Final Oath.
