The faithful service and hard work of Glenmary Home Missioners' priests, brothers and coworkers frequently causes others to take note. In an effort to share that notice with Glenmary's supporters, below are several stories relating to Glenmary that appeared in Catholic or secular publications during the month of June.
June 1 - The Catholic Telegraph spotlighted Religious Brothers Day in their June edition with a story that included Brother Jason Muhlenkamp. Read more.
June 4 - Father Steve Pawelk is quoted in an East Tennessee Catholic story about an immigrant family in Tennessee who now owns and operates their own farm. Read more.
June 16 – Glenmary Home Missioners President Father Chet Artysiewicz comments on the passing of Nashville Bishop David Choby appeared in an online article at the Diocese of Nashville's website. Read more.
June 19 – First vice president Father Neil Pezzulo was featured on the Ohio Citizen Action website for his part in Earthjustice's lobbying efforts in Washington. Read more.
June 22 - Father Rollie Hautz was pictured in the Catholic News Herald. The brief write-up notes he celebrated his 90th birthday and 64th year of ordination with former parishioners in Jefferson, N.C., site of a former Glenmary mission. Read more.
June 23 - In the obituary of Father Raymond Horan in the Georgia Bulletin, Glenmary is listed as an "in lieu of flowers" donation suggestion. Read more.
June 26 - Glenmary Challenge's recent Catholic Press Association awards appeared in The Catholic Telegraph's roundup of which Archdiocese of Cincinnati-based publications won awards. Read more.
June 27 - Glenmary was mentioned in the secular Bristol Press. A Connecticut youth group from St. Stanislaus parish will be at Toppa Joppa in July and the article promotes their trip. Read more.
