Glenmary offers many opportunities for volunteers interested in serving the home missions.
The Glenmary Farm
The Glenmary Farm is home to the Glenmary Group Volunteer Program. This retreat-like immersion experience in Eastern Kentucky blends service, education, prayer, reflection and sharing in an environment of simple living. The Glenmary Farm grows people!
Camp Glenmary
Each year, the four weeks of July are dedicated to Camp Glenmary. For two weeks, children attend Camp Friendship for disadvantaged children and for two weeks, Catholic children attend Catholic Camp. Men and women volunteer to serve as counselors during one or more week-long sessions at the rural summer camp located in Northeast Mississippi. Cooks are also needed.
Long-Term Volunteers
This is an opportunity for adult Catholics to assist a resident director in the supervision of high-school and college volunteer groups at the Glenmary Farm in eastern Kentucky for one year. Persons selected provide leadership for short-term missionary immersion experiences.
