    The Glenmary Farm, which has served as a site for the Glenmary Group Volunteer Program for over four decades, will close in December 2014. But the Group Volunteer Program will continue at the site located on Joppa Mountain in East Tennessee.

    In some ways, the recent canonization of former popes St. John Paul II and St. John XXIII makes sainthood seem more attainable. In other ways, perhaps less so. Making holy and steadfast progress toward sainthood means serving God in the people around you, in the way that suits your gifts. Perhaps that way may be as a Glenmary Home Missioner.

    Glenmary Leads Pilot Lay Ministry Program in Mississippi

    Glenmary has been a leader in preparing Catholic laypeople in home mission areas for parish leadership and ministry. And recently it's been very involved in helping lead a Spanish-language pilot program in theology and ministry, in cooperation with the Loyola Institute of Ministry (LIM), for use in lay leadership formation. The program's final version will be available to Spanish speakers in this country and around the world.
