Glenmary in the News: August 2018

The faithful service and hard work of Glenmary Home Missioners’ priests, brothers and coworkers often causes others to take note. In an effort to share that notice with Glenmary’s supporters, below are several stories relating to Glenmary that appeared in Catholic or secular publications during the month of August 2018.

August 1 — American Catholic Radio re-aired a previously recorded interview of Glenmary Father Vic Subb by John Feister, who is now assistant editor of Glenmary Challenge magazine. Listen here.

August 2 –
 The Catholic Telegraph of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati reported on Glenmary’s growth in North Carolina. Glenmary has announced it will take over the pastoral care of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Martin County, N.C. effective Oct. 6. This is Glenmary’s first expansion since 2011. Read more.

August 10 —
 The Tennessee Register, newspaper for the Diocese of Nashville, covered the good news of groundbreaking at Glenmary’s Holy Family Mission in Macon County, Tenn. The groundbreaking marks the future end of Holy Family’s use of an overcrowded basement church and the construction of a new church building designed to fit this growing community. Read more.
