Feb. 9 – As reported in the Intermountain Catholic, Father Dan Dorsey was invited by Salt Lake City Bishop Oscar A. Solis to lead a diocesan-wide day of reflection and prayer March 3. Father Dan was chosen because his “ministry in areas where the Catholic presence is a minority gives special insights on what it means to be a missionary disciple. Read More.
Feb. 21 – According to the Batesville Herald-Tribune, Father John S. Rausch and Franciscan Sister Robbie Pentecost will discuss the way their respective ministries are making an impact in Appalachia May 5 at the Oldenburg Franciscan Center in Oldenburg, Ind. Read More.
Feb. 23 – Father Wil Steinbacher was quoted in a Tennessee Register story entitled, “Lent is an ideal time to refocus on environmental justice.” Father Wil is quoted as saying, “We have to come to grips with the fact that we don’t own the earth. It’s God’s earth and we’re called to be shepherds of this earth.” Read More.
