Step Up to the Home Mission Challenge
Why Support the Glenmary Mission Fund?
The Glenmary Mission Fund raises the $6 million needed each year to staff and support our over 50 home missions and our many home mission ministries. Glenmary carefully budgets these resources to serve people and establish a Catholic presence in the neglected small-town and rural areas of Appalachia, the South and Southwest.
Thousands of friends of Glenmary, people just like you, contribute generously each year to this Mission Fund, making Glenmary’s important mission work possible. Every Glenmary donor, and each gift that Glenmary receives, plays a vital role in keeping mission doors open and missioners in the field.
But we depend on supporters for much more than money. We need your prayers and your outreach to invite others to step up to the home mission challenge as well.
Ways to Step Up
We invite you to step up to the home mission challenge. Please look over the following levels of support, with suggested commitments, and determine which is right for you.
Mission Benefactor
• Make gifts to the Glenmary Mission Fund between July 1 and June 30 totaling $5,000 or more.
• Visit a Glenmary mission.
• Pray the Home Mission Prayer or the prayer to Our Lady of the Fields daily.
Mission Supporter
• Make gifts to the Glenmary Mission Fund between July 1 and June 30 totaling $1,000 or more.
• Provide information about Glenmary to a local high school or Newman Center.
• Pray the Home Mission Prayer or the prayer to Our Lady of the Fields daily.
Mission Associate
• Make gifts to the Glenmary Mission Fund between July 1 and June 30 totaling $250 or more.
• Tell an adult education class at your parish about Glenmary’s work.
• Pray the Home Mission Prayer or the prayer to Our Lady of the Fields daily.
Mission Friend
• Make gifts to the Glenmary Mission Fund between July 1 and June 30 totaling $100 or more.
• Write a letter of encouragement to a Glenmary missioner.
• Pray the Home Mission Prayer or the prayer to Our Lady of the Fields daily
Mission Helper
• Make gifts to the Glenmary Mission Fund between July 1 and June 30 totaling up to $99.
• Share the story of Glenmary and Glenmary’s work with a neighbor or friend.
• Pray the Home Mission Prayer or the prayer to Our Lady of the Fields daily.
Glenmary supporters at every level will receive Glenmary Challenge, Glenmary’s award-winning quarterly magazine. You will also be remembered in the daily prayers and Masses of all Glenmary missioners.

What Is the Glenmary Mission Fund
The Glenmary Mission Fund provides a sustained, regular income that enables Glenmary priests, brothers and coworkers to serve the home missions in rural America. While donations can be made to the Mission Fund at any time, Glenmary uses its fiscal calendar, July 1 to June 30, to determine the level donors achieve each year.
