CINCINNATI, Ohio (Dec. 13, 2016) -- Barbara Hasbach has been hired as an administrative assistant for Glenmary Home Missioners' vocations office. Hasbach started Dec. 5.

Hasbach, a former college professor and native of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, will assist Glenmary's vocations department in clerical duties, as well as in the editing and publication of Spanish-language materials. She will also assist the office of communications and marketing.

"We are excited to have Barbara on board in the vocation office," said Brother David Henley, Glenmary's Vocation Director. "As administrative assistant, she will be Glenmary's first contact for many men who are discerning their vocation. And with her skills in the Spanish language, the vocation office will be able to produce more promotional materials to reach out to the Hispanic community. I think that letting more people know about the awesome things that the Glenmary priests and brothers are doing, will encourage more men to discern their mission vocation."

Hasbach, her husband and three children reside in West Chester, Ohio. They are members of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Mason, Ohio.
