Call to Mission
August 2008

This has been a very busy summer for me. I've been giving appeals on behalf of
Glenmary at parishes throughout the United
States. While it is exhausting to have to travel many
weekends in a row, it's also rewarding because
oftentimes I encounter someone who has been part of
a Glenmary mission or one of our donors. They share
with me stories of their mission connections and I help
them catch up on where certain missioners are today.
Although Glenmary is a small community, the ripples
we make reach across the United States. And you
have made those ripples possible. For all those we
serve, I thank you.

Director

Dennis Makokha, also pursuing priesthood, renewed his Oath to Glenmary on Friday, May 23. All men have committed themselves to the practice of poverty, chastity, obedience and prayer.
