Home Mission Essay Contest
Enter and Win Cash Prizes!
Encouraging and inspiring young men and women to respond generously to their baptismal call to be missionary—that’s the reason for the 2007 Glenmary Home Mission Essay Contest for high school seniors in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the Diocese of Covington. Glenmary Home Missioners (priests, brothers and coworkers) believe that young people today have high ideals and a real desire to live a faith-filled life.
Who's eligible to enter?
Any high school senior from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or from the Diocese of Covington.
What's involved?
An entrant must submit a color photo and a 500-word essay, typed and double-spaced, that addresses this topic: “How do you live the mission of Jesus in your everyday life?”
Deadline?
Essays must be postmarked by March 1, 2007 and mailed with an entry form to:

Prizes?
Cash awards of $1,000 (first) and $500 (second) will be presented to winners in each diocese if essays meet stated criteria. Awards will be presented on Home Mission Sunday, April 29, 2007, at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains in Cincinnati.
