Youth Leadership Conference in Diocese of Joliet (Ill.): Opportunity for Personal and Spiritual Growth
More than 800 teens and young adults attended the 2009 annual conference in late June. It's intended not only to help deepen their faith, but to enable and inspire them to bring that faith to others through Christian example and leadership. Presenters emphasized vocations, and many young people inquired about Glenmary.

Pope Benedict XVI has declared this year as the "Year of the Priest" in honor of the 150th anniversary of the death of St. John Mary Vianney, Cure of Ars and patron of all priests. This year relates to every person who discerns God's vocational call. But we should especially pray for and support our priests and those called to the priesthood.

Glenmary has accepted nine men into its formation program for the 2009-10 academic year, and three more prospective students' applications are still being considered. All new students will begin their orientation program on July 25.
