"I think both communities benefit greatly!" This
statement by Sister Alies Therese,
pastoral coordinator of a Glenmary mission in Eupora, Miss., sums
up why so many parishes seek to bond in a mutually
supportive relationship through Glenmary's Adopt-A-
Mission program. This
month's Home Mission News provides you with a
view into the benefits of participating in the Adopt-a-
Mission program, from two different perspectives from
two different Glenmary missions.
Sister Alies is one of seven lay pastoral coordinators leading Glenmary missions in eight counties. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Glenmary's Lay Pastoral Coordinator Program as well as the 70th anniversary of Glenmary's founding and of our home mission ministry. For those of you who have long been supporting our mission ministry, we are truly grateful. But there is always room for one more! So, if you're looking for a way to learn more about the home missions and how you might help, I hope you will read the articles in our summer newsletter and then contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. -Christina Fadden,
Glenmary Mission Office
