#1455: Why
Christmas Trees Arent Perfect
Ages: Primary and intermediate grades
Time: 25 minutes
They say, that if you creep into an evergreen forest late at night,
you can hear the trees talking. If you listen very carefully, you
might even hear one of the older trees telling the story of a place
long ago where all the trees grew tall and every evergreen in the
forest was perfect. Well, perfect in the way they looked, that is!
Come and share the story of a young tree named"Small Pain"
who had big hopes. One very special Christmas, he and his friends
Wrenifred, the bird; Harrison Carter Rutherford III, the rabbit;
Dominique, the deer; and the Princess Arabella learned that real
joy comes from giving of ourselves to help others.

Sheen) who studies the prophecies and is witness to a sign in the
heavens that he hopes will lead him and his faithful servant, Orantes
(Alan Arkin), to the Messiah. Artaban takes three precious gifts
to present to the Messiah. For 33 years Aratban and Orantes pursue
Jesus, only to miss him at every turn. Along the way they use his
gifts to help others. The story ends on Easter Sunday when Artaban,
old and dying, finally encounters the new king, bringing peace to
the final moments of his life.
