Parish Pastoral Council Assistance

The Department is available to all Glenmary churches to assist and support Parish Pastoral Councils. We can provide:

Pastoral Council Formation Workshops: Whether you have an established or new Pastoral Council, we can offer a workshop to help you better function as a Council. A workshop will provide the tools for the organization and running of your council. It will help you determine the way you will gather and share information and how you will implement the decisions you make.

Pastoral Council Strategic Planning Sessions: Often it is necessary for Pastoral Councils to respond to specific needs in the parish. The Department can help you clearly define your needs, devise a plan to address them, provide guidelines to implement the plan and provide a process of evaluation for your plan.

Pastoral Council Reflections: It is necessary, from time to time, for a Pastoral Council to take time out to prayerfully reflect about itsministry of service to the parish and the larger community. The Department offers Days of Prayer and Reflection. The Department staff will tailor these days to your specific needs and schedule.
