Some Conclusions for Church Workers

As the group reflected on the presentation, they recognized that education is key in preparing Catholics and Baptists to develop joint evangelizing projects on the local level.

These steps were identified:

Catholic parishioners need to be educated as to the meaning behind ”evangelism” language and how to meet the Baptist expectation that there be a ”definite” moment of conversion.

There is a need to create more opportunites in Catholic parish life for parishioners to talk about their relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior.

There is a need for opportunities for members of both denominations to come together to speak about their experience of living today as Christians.
