A native of St. Paul, Minn., Father Robert Rademacher, 79, made his first oath to Glenmary in 1951 and was ordained four years later. A World War II veteran, Father Bob returned to civilian life and attended Mount St. Mary of the West and Our Lady of Fields seminaries. His assignments have led him throughout the southern and Appalachian regions of the United States, serving as pastor in missions in Georgia, Virginia, Mississippi and North Carolina. He spent almost 30 years ministering in Appalachia prior to receiving senior member status in 1998. In “retirement” he is serving as sacramental minister to the Clintwood, Va., mission and continues to serve on the Glenmary Commission on Justice.
