Father Roland Hautz

Father Rollie Hautz delivers a Christmas box to a family in Blue Creek, Ohio, as part of Operation Santa in the late 1970s.

Father Roland Hautz, 74, is a Cincinnati native who took his first oath in 1951. After attending seminary in Cincinnati, he was ordained as a Glenmary priest in 1953. Since his ordination, he has pastored Glenmary missions in Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia.

Father Rollie currently pastors Glenmary missions in Gate City and Dungannon, Va., where he is active in many county organizations and chairs the board of Hope House, which helps victims of domestic violence. In his years of ministry with Glenmary, he has had his hand in building several mission churches and setting up programs to help serve the needs of the poor in counties where he has served.
