Around the Missions

Father Bruce Brylinski, pastor of St. Joan of Arc mission in Louisville, Ga., moved from South Georgia on Aug. 3 when the mission was returned to the pastoral care of the Diocese of Savannah. His new assignment is pending.

Father Jerry Dorn, pastor of Prince of Peace mission in West Liberty, Ky., and St. Julie mission in Owingsville, Ky., moved from Eastern Kentucky in August when both missions were returned to the pastoral care of the Diocese of Lexington. His new assignment is pending.

Father Gerry Peterson, a senior member, has moved to St. Meinrad, Ind., to be a support person to Glenmary’s two students—Crispine Adongo and Aaron Wessman—enrolled in St. Meinrad School of Theology.

Father Frank Ruff entered senior member status in July and is now the sacramental minister for St. Susan Church in Elkton, Ky. Father Frank pastored both St. Susan and Sts. Mary and James mission in Guthrie, Ky., prior to their return to the Diocese of Owensboro for continued pastoral care in June. Father Frank resides in Trenton, Ky.

Brother Tom Sheehy has ended his time as co-director of Glenmary’s prenovitiate program in June. His new assignment is pending.

Brother Joe Steen has completed his sabbatical and on July 1 began his new assignment as co-director of the prenovices and postnovices. He is living in Hartford, Ky.

Seminarian Crispine Adongo spent his pastoral year working in Glenmary’s mission in Idabel, Okla., and Brother Craig Digmann spent his in Waldron, Ark. Both were honored by their local communities with going away parties and community coverage in the local media. An article on Crispine was featured on the front page of the McCurtain Daily Gazette. Brother Craig, who was named an honorary citizen of Waldron, was featured on the front page of the Waldron News.
