Three Men Who Came and  Stayed —
Glenmary Vocation Stories

A Presidential Task Force met in February 1999 to reflect on why men have come to Glenmary over the years, why they have stayed—and what implications this has for vocation ministry today. Editor Karen Hurley asked these same questions of three men who came to Glenmary in three different decades. These are their vocation stories:  

	Father Bruce Brylinski, 44 “Glenmary encourages me to do it all: be an artist, a priest, a missioner.”
	Father Bob Dalton, 64 “Responding to poverty was always part of my call.”
	Brother Joe Steen, 54 “Celibacy is hard for people to see as positive. But it has been positive for me.”
