Uses Puppets, Art to Evangelize
Glenmary
Father Bruce Brylinski, having completed a master's of arts
in painting in May, is back in the home missions using his
paintings and his puppetry to forge a creative approach to
evangelization.

Curt Kedley has received the 2001 Call to Brotherhood Award
from the Religious Brothers Conference for his work building
bridges between the black and white communities in one of
Georgia's poorest and most segregated counties.

Spring 2001 President's Circle Newsletter
Grant Money Helps Support, Expand Evangelization
This
year Glenmary has received over $70,000 from the Koch Foundation,
providing an extra boost to the support of Glenmary
donors. Grant money supports various evangelization efforts,
and will make it possible for 20 folks from Glenmary mission
areas to attend the National Catholic Council on Evangelization
conference in Raleigh, N.C., in June.

Glenmary
History Honored in North Carolina
The parishioners of St. William Church in Murphy, N.C., recently
reacquired their original church building to serve as a parish
activity center. They named it "Glenmary House"
as a tribute to Glenmarys role planting the Catholic
Church throughout western North Carolina.

a recent Catholic Press Association Farm Study Tour. The issues
he examined echo concerns of the National Catholic Rural Life
Conference as Congress prepares to write the 2002 Farm Bill--and
of the Catholic Bishops of the South in their
new pastoral on the U.S. poultry industry. |

The Glenmary Research Center has, for decades,
been the leader in collecting
religious statistics for the nation. Busy planning for publication
of the new Religious Congregations
Membership Study 2000, the Research Center is also planning
how to use its new Web presence
to make Glenmary's famous maps more readily available.
