Glenmary Father Chet Artysiewicz Arrives in Oklahoma
Assumes pastorate of Idabel and Valliant missions
CINCINNATI—Father Chet Artysiewicz will assume the pastorate of Glenmary’s McCurtain County, Okla., missions on July 1: St. Francis de Sales (Idabel) and Good Shepherd (Valliant). For the past six years, he has pastored St. Mark in Monticello and St. Luke in Warren.
Father Chet, a native of Wilmington, Del., professed his First Oath in 1969 and was ordained in 1973. He has served Glenmary missions in Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio and Arkansas.
Glenmary is a society of Catholic priests and brothers who, along with coworkers, establish the Catholic Church in rural regions of the United States. Currently, Glenmary staffs over 50 missions and ministries in 14 dioceses.
